Finally a chance to breathe

Seems I like to blog from the porch...

As soon as I started to type, Magnus was climbing up the lattice that lines the porch rails. I tell him to get Down all the time, but this time, it breaks on him. And it’s MY fault. I get raspberries blown at me, he’s telling MY dad, and he don’t like me “nee more”. Being called a dummy is where his mouth was tapped. Lightly. But enough to get my point across. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ryan was called out to work, so I’m home alone with all 5. Sheamus played hard today and crashed in my bed with Master Shifu. 😸 Logan is currently dorking and eating his booger while he plays Xbox. Dryden and Braxton are playing baseball in the basement, and Magnus is testing the waters on if he can hurt himself. This boy tests me ERR. DAY. There’s no reasoning with him. His impulsiveness is off the hook and if we try to sit him down and have a conversation with him, it goes something like “Magnus, look at me. You cannot climb on things, you will get hurt. Do you understand? What did I just say to you?”
Magnus, fake crying “I hear the police”. Yep. Because there’s sirens. SQUIRREL! 🐿

Baseball season is officially over. 🙏🏻 Three schedules, three different age groups, and three different leagues. All of them did really well this year, improving with every game. Magnus and Sheamus will join the rank next season, and that will be all FIVE in baseball. Freshman, Pony, Pinto and two T ballers. This year was exhausting. The most exhausting yet. Next year will be out of control. Thank goodness we have a little time before then. And basketball season. 🏀🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh yea, and Braxton wants to try his hand at Titan football this year. While we do not ever discourage our boys from trying new things, Braxton is definitely our softest of the five. We are REALLY anxious to see how this goes. Over/under on how many days he makes it?! I hope he surprises us and sticks it out, but I’m expecting it to last no longer than the first week of hitting. July 29th is first practice, so we shall see.

Ryan works this weekend, so it’s me and 4 the next two days. Many errands and a baby shower. We’ve worked out a new schedule with Dry’s mom so we get him more often and on days that Ryan is off. He enjoys being here around the madness, so it works for everyone. Logan’s screen is shattered on his phone so HE’s even been coming out of his hole and walking among the living... after waking up at 3:00p. 🤦🏻‍♀️ To be 14 again.

Looking forward to next weekend... Friday is a day off for Ryan and me and we are going out for the day. Alone. All day. We had a mini vacation in April for his cousins wedding, but before then... I can’t tell you the last time we did something like that. Friday’s off can only mean one thing.... ROGERS!!!!! Then pedicures, and dinner with friends. So, so excited.

July and August are packed already with stuff to do while we have no school or baseball. So much that it will be the first week of school before we know it. We will have two Professional Preschoolers, a 2nd grader, Dryden moves up to 7th grade at Buckeye Local High School and Logan. Will be. A freshman. Hard. Swallow. I have no words for this growing thing that’s been going on. They’re already this old... may as well give them their license and their diplomas. They’re changing, and growing, and getting hair in places they shouldn’t yet, and voices are changing, and life is going at warp speed. But one thing remains... every day, in a house with 6 dudes.... there’s always Pee on the seat... 😘
