No fortune... Good or bad?

The magic of technology is amazing. Logan started in his first baseball game today and I am watching, play by play, via live streaming through the school's website. I hate that I can't be at each and every game, but so glad I can watch and not miss out on too much. Currently, they are up 5-3 against Wheeling (Jesuit), bottom of the 5th. This could be his team's first win of the season with his first start. How amazing would that be! I have started making a list of ideas and things as they come to mind that I would like to blog about. I have a few things, but, like when you are dreaming and you wake in the night hoping to remember what you dreamt about, I sometimes lose what I wanted to blog about and look at the list and wonder why the hell I wrote that down. LOL.  I went live on my personal FB account the other night. Magnus and Sheamus were in rare form on a Friday night and I SWEAR by the witching hour that is 8:00. A simple game of living room football can never be just

I'm a penguin... who knew!

Insert sigh of relief emoji here** When I say that I crashed yesterday, I mean that I slept from 6:30p.m. until 6:30 a.m. I got up one time around 9:00??? to take my meds and get a drink because I am a mouth breather and my pipes were dry. Life has officially caught up to me and after I ate the delicious corn beef brisket I made for St. Pat's dinner, the carbs and meats hit and it was lights out. But I feel better today and definitely rested. Moreso than I have felt in a while, so hopefully it sticks.  I got word last week that I will now be a Youngstown State Penguin. From what I gathered from the letter, our current community college is being taken over by YSU and they have added 36 new programs to their catalog. I am relieved that a decision was made and that I can continue my academic journey pretty seamlessly. Monday starts the second term of this semester and in that time, I am hoping for a transition and for things to carry on as usual. I would like to take classes in the

No rest for the wicked... Literally...

Life has been CHAOS lately and I don't even know where to begin. I thought for sure it would slow down with basketball and wrestling being over, but alas, it has not.      We finally finished basketball on Thursday for the Championship game. Magnus, unfortunately, couldn't play in it because he tested positive for Influenza A and a right ear infection... less than 3 weeks after having Influenza B. His fever was as high as 104.8 and we were freaking out. None of my kids have ever gone that high with a fever and we were thinking the worst, being that he had just been sick. I don't want to say that I am thankful that it was Influenza, but my mind was put at peace knowing there was a reason. This is the first year that we didn't get the boys flu shots and I feel like we learned our lesson. His neurologist said that we should get them every year, especially because a high fever can reduce a seizure threshold. Safe to say we were watching him like a hawk before we coul

Oh, you have plans? HAHAHAHAHAHAH

It's Tuesday. I have so much on my mind, I don't even know where to start or what to save for another time. I guess I'll start with the biggest worry.       Every Monday, I have a routine. I write down what we have scheduled for that week. I write down appointments, practices, games, etc. I write down what class assignments I have due, quizzes or papers. I write down what tasks I would like or need to complete for the week. I write down to remind myself to blog, to create a reel or story on social media to try and keep content going on it. I make lists, regularly. I like lists because I can see what needs done and I love the sense of accomplishment in crossing it off. It is usually put on a post-it, so I can carry it with me adhered to my planner so I don't forget anything and can see it every day. How can you miss a bright yellow piece of paper when you look in your purse multiple times a day?      Within the last two week, students at our local Community College r
