Have kids, they say....

Wednesday. I am TWO days late and I am trying to get this out before I forget for another day. What a day. What a last 10 days. What a life, huh? I could write multiple posts in one week on just the oldest child and the trials we have faced since he went to college. But I feel like he would be super mad at me if I called him out in that way, so I'll save it all for a day he REALLY pisses me off. 😝     We finished up basketball and wrestling officially. Dryden has his Sectional tournament on Saturday but unfortunately fell short from progressing to the next round. He was upset at first, but has since relished in the fact that he can now eat whenever and whatever he wants and doesn't have to watch his diet for 8 months. Lol. Boop finished up basketball Sunday evening. His team won on Saturday to take them to the Championship Sunday, but unfortunately, the other team pressed HARD the entire game and they had about 7 more kids on their bench so the chances on them tiring and rele

Past Sarah makes a visit

Happy President's Day!      So happy to be off for the day with the hubs and our ailing children. Blogging from the comforts of my love seat while the twins cough and sniffle and fever and perk up with meds and scream on their tablets. Fun times. I should have known it was coming... we stayed overnight in a hospital setting, Magnus cannot keep his fingers out of his mouth and there were a ton of staff/students out with sickness in the last 2 weeks. Not to mention that we play youth sports with kids snotting and coughing and touching basketballs. Blech. Kids are gross, loud germ factories and I can't wait for a tad warmer temps to air out this house.     I have finally figured out the key to making my conditioner last! I will buy a brand new bottle, and I only wash my hair every 6-7 days. So, a new bottle should last me well over 6 weeks. I would use it when it was brand new, go back a week later to use it, and it will be GONE. Granted, I remember using my moms shampoo, conditi

Apparently the theme is "What A Ride"

Happy Tuesday, and Happy One Year Anniversary to me at Toronto City Schools! I cannot believe it has already been a year... a year since I took a chance on myself, a year since I left some of the best people I have ever known, a year since I changed everything I knew in life and took a completely different path. I would do it again and am so proud of myself for taking that leap. What a mental relief it has been. Literally. And the tension headaches I used to get almost daily are now few and far between. What a ride this last year has been, but I wouldn't change it for anything.  Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, which also marks the anniversary of our (Logan and me) first "date" with Ryan and Dryden. I took Logan over for a play date to Ryan's parents house for the afternoon. He was living with them and I was living with my Mom and step-dad at the time. Little did we know that that play date would be a premonition of what our life would be like. We laughed, we played

A day late, and overmedicated

Holler! It's Tuesday. I try to have these out on Monday's but, you know, effing life. I am currently in Children's Hospital with Magnus for his two-year EEG (brain scan) to check for any seizure-like activity. Last time we had one of these it showed activity while he was sleeping. He hasn't had an active seizure since June of 2016, but damn you, middle of the night events. If he were to show no signs, we could discuss weaning him off of the twice daily seizure meds he currently takes, but he has to show no activity. Here's to hoping!  Quick weekly recap: basketball games (won),  quick overnight visit from the eldest,  wrestling meet (2nd place and 2nd place overall for the school), more basketball (won), lost tooth resulting in the Tooth Fairy bringing money and the stomach big, a disco themed baby shower, with work and marriage and practices sprinkled in. Laundry is so far behind, it just gets washed on an as needed basis. The subject of laundry could be a whole po
